Queen Nappy and Yoyo Yolanda: Vagabonds of the Caribbean, is a non-linear narrative film, that explores the complexities of mortality by merging fragments of the body language, memory, place, and the spoken language, with founded imageries, digital drawings, digital video paintings, 16mm film, and persona transformations. This film translates these complexities with metaphysical themes using light, color, sound and performance, center on contemporary events placed in context with my oral history where I transform personal experiences in the world into a lyrical visual dialog. The sound in this film is a fusion of my piano playing; remix of founded and appropriated sounds from historical and popular sources.
