Queen Nappy reigns over images that are taboo and considered the large elephant in the middle of the room that nobody wants to talk about. I juxtapose collages of printed text, and images from historical periods, popular culture, and contemporary events into a visual context. Deconstructing the unmentionable image that was once regarded as acceptable imagery in the media and popular culture bestows ownership and perhaps presents a different read on the unspeakable.
