This work explores the era of Blaxploitation films in the seventies, the impact it had on its people within the African-American and Caribbean communities. The imagery speaks directly to the post soul aesthetic black style themes explored within the Hip Hop community addressing dialect, facial expressions, and body language that act as signifiers for each of my characters, Queen Nappy and YoYo Yolanda. The audio sounds are a fusion of Funk, Jazz and Hop Hip, twine with constructed sounds.
